Promoting health and longevity at every step.

For therapy needs, many senior living communities are shifting toward in-house therapy partnerships with providers like Stellar Therapy & Wellness, moving beyond the traditional reliance on home health agencies (under medicare Part A) alone. While home health agencies play a crucial role by providing skilled nursing services, their therapy services can be limited by frequency and volume as determined by medicare part A guidelines. The most effective approach combines the strength of both models; home health for skilled nursing care when deemed necessary partnered with in-house therapy providers for ongoing, high volume therapy.
Fast initiation of services
In-House Provider: Under Florida Direct Access provision, a doctor’s order is not required to begin therapy services, allowing for immediate treatment initiation which is a key element in fall risk reduction and prevention of functional decline. Direct Access eliminates delays associated with obtaining referrals, ensuring faster access to care. (Throughout the therapy process, we maintain open communication with the patient’s physician to coordinate care and optimize outcomes)

Greater Accessibility: residents can access therapy whenever they need it, without waiting for an outside provider’s scheduled visit. Therapy sessions are offered on-site, eliminating the need for transportation.
Angel Baricelli
I’ve been practicing Physical Therapy for 17 years. Prior to relocating to South Florida from Boston, I worked across different clinical setting from sports medicine facilities to high-rated institutions such as Tufts Medical Center and Hebrew Senior Life Home Care, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate. My clinical experience has allowed me to evaluate, diagnose and treat a mix case of patients from athletes with sport- related injuries, patients with joint replacements and back surgeries to seniors with physical disabilities in assisted/independent living facilities. My goal as clinician is to connect with my patients and understand their individual needs and goals in order to establish a meaningful and individualized treatment plan that will ultimately lead to an improvement in the quality of life.

Our mission
At Stellar Physical Therapy and Wellness, we empower adults 50+ to slow the aging process, reverse muscle loss, and maintain strength, mobility, and independence—so you never have to give up the activities you love. Whether it’s enjoying a walk in the park with your partner, playing pickleball with your grandchildren, traveling to meet a new family member, or simply dining out with confidence, we’re here to help you stay active, resilient, and fully engaged in life at every stage.
At Stellar Physical Therapy & Wellness, we focus on promoting longevity by building muscle strength, improving cardiovascular health, and preventing falls—key factors in maintaining independence and quality of life. Muscle loss and declining endurance can make everyday activities harder and increase the risk of injury, however, this can be reversed and prevented with properly-structured therapy protocols.
Through a personalized, progressive approach, we help our clients remain strong, steady, and active by combating muscle loss (sarcopenia), boosting cardiovascular fitness (VO2 max), and enhancing balance to reduce fall risk.
What makes us different? We sincerely care and strive to provide the best quality of service possible.
